My Fourteenth Post, Because Thirteen Is An Unlucky Number.

Ahh… The subject of Luck.

See, I believe that, if life were more like an RPG, my luck skill would be in the negatives.

Actually, I could map out my skills for you through a medium known as the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Attribute set, derived from the game Fallout.

S - 4

P - 6

E - 3

C - 8

I - 8

A - 2

L - -99999

Yeah, its that bad. Some people may argue that it can’t be my luck that’s bad, because look at all the good things I have now.

That’s mostly due to that C and I portion. Unfortunately, the Charisma attribute doesn’t necessarily work too well on most attractive females. Luckily for me, some are somewhat blind in one eye.

But I’m getting away from my point. I imagine luck as this invisible meter that follows you around all day. Sort of like a mana bar. Whenever something lucky happens to someone, an amount of that bar is depleted. The amount is based solely on the severity of the situation. The lower the level of the bar, the less likely that your luck will be able to bail you out.

For example, in my case, it was cheating death, multiple times. Now, as you can imagine, cheating death would take up a LOT of your luck bar. Now, multiple instances? I think my bar is barely hanging on there.

The only problem is… I have no idea how it fills back up. Maybe it doesn’t. Maybe that bar is meant to last you a lifetime…

In which case, I’m pretty much fucked.

It was only recently that I noticed my luck was pretty bad… Most things good that happened to me were a direct result of my other attributes…

My job, for example. Direct result of C and I. Plus, I have the Swift Learner perk tagged. My bad luck appears at my job, but I usually keep it at bay with my mad skillz. (Yeah, I went there.)

I actually forget where I was going with this whole thing…

Oh well.

King of Bad Luck is I, and that’s the end I suppose.
